Verse of the Day

For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

1 Corinthians 2:2-5 ESV

How God Speaks To Us

God is not silent—He delights to speak to His people. From the opening pages of Scripture to the present day, the Lord has revealed Himself in ways that guide, comfort, and correct us. Yet His voice is not always dramatic or loud; often, it comes through ordinary means that invite us to listen with faith and discernment.

This devotional explores five key ways God speaks—through His Word, His Spirit, His people, our God-given wisdom, and the circumstances of life—reminding us that His guidance is both personal and purposeful.

1 Corinthians 13 - 14: Love and Order

As we turn to 1 Corinthians 13 and 14, we are invited to see the heart behind the gifts God has given His people. These chapters remind us that love must be the driving force behind every spiritual gift we exercise. Without love, even the most impressive expressions of gifting lose their value in the eyes of God. At the same time, Paul calls the church to embrace order in its worship and life together—an order that reflects God’s own character and brings clarity, unity, and edification to His people. Together, these truths show us that a Spirit-filled church is not only gifted, but also marked by Christlike love and a commitment to honoring God through orderly, purposeful worship.
