Psalm 145:5 reminds us that worship grows out of reflection: “On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.”

David intentionally turns his attention toward who God is and what God has done. In a life filled with distractions, worries, and responsibilities, our thoughts can easily become dominated by what is urgent rather than what is eternal. This verse invites us to slow down and deliberately remember God’s greatness, faithfulness, provision, and grace.

Practical application: Today, take a few moments to recall one specific way God has worked in your life. Rather than immediately moving on to the next concern, dwell on it and thank Him. Meditating on God’s past faithfulness strengthens our trust in Him for whatever comes next.
