Daily Verse

David’s words are striking because Psalm 57 was written in a season of danger and uncertainty. Yet his attention ultimately moves away from his circumstances and toward the greatness of God. His highest prayer is not simply, “Lord, get me out of this,” but “Lord, be glorified through this.” God remains exalted regardless of what is happening around us.

That gives us a powerful perspective for difficult days. We may not control our circumstances, other people, or what tomorrow brings, but we can choose where we fix our attention. Instead of allowing the problem to become bigger than God in our minds, we can remember that God is still above it all—sovereign, faithful, and worthy of praise.

Daily application: Whatever is weighing on you today, turn it into a prayer: “Lord, be exalted in my attitude, my decisions, my words, and even in this situation. Let Your glory be seen through me.”
