Romans 4:7-8 ESV
Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin
Romans 4:7–8 celebrates the deep blessing of forgiveness: our sins are not merely overlooked—they are covered, and through faith in Christ, they are no longer counted against us. Paul’s words remind us that our standing with God is based on His grace, not on our ability to earn acceptance or repair every failure ourselves.
For believers, this brings both freedom and humility. We do not have to live under the weight of past sin, because God has forgiven us in Christ. At the same time, remembering how much we have been forgiven should make us more gracious toward others. Today, receive God’s forgiveness with gratitude, refuse to carry guilt He has already removed, and extend that same mercy to someone else.
