Jeremiah 32:18-19 ESV
“You show steadfast love to thousands, but you repay the guilt of fathers to their children after them, O great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord of hosts, great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of man, rewarding each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.”
Jeremiah 32:18–19 reminds us that God’s love, wisdom, and power are beyond measure. He is “great in counsel and mighty in deed,” seeing not only what we do but also the motives and choices behind our actions. Nothing escapes His attention, and nothing exceeds His ability to handle.
For believers, this is both comforting and sobering. We can trust God when circumstances seem confusing because His wisdom sees what we cannot, while also remembering that our daily choices matter to Him. The God who sees every step we take is also the God whose steadfast love reaches across generations. Today, we can walk with confidence by seeking His counsel, trusting His power, and choosing actions that honor Him.
