Psalm 28:9 ESV
Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!
Psalm 27:9 is a gut-level prayer. Don’t hide your face from me, don’t turn me away in anger. David’s not posturing, he’s pleading. It’s the moment when faith admits fear, fear of being abandoned. The beauty here is that God welcomes that honesty. This verse teaches us that clinging to God when you feel unseen is itself an act of trust.
