Psalm 16:1–2 is a simple but powerful confession of trust and dependence on God. David recognizes that true security is not found in circumstances, possessions, or his own strength, but in taking refuge in the Lord. When he says, “I have no good apart from you,” he acknowledges that every lasting good in his life ultimately flows from God.

These verses invite us to begin each day with the same posture: “Lord, You are my refuge, You are my Lord, and everything truly good comes from You.” When life feels uncertain, we do not have to control every outcome. We can place ourselves in God’s care, remembering that His presence is not merely one blessing among many—it is the foundation of every other blessing.
