Proverbs 10:12 reminds us that love and hatred produce very different fruit. Hatred keeps offenses alive—it revisits wounds, fuels resentment, and creates new conflict. Love does the opposite. It does not deny wrongdoing, but it refuses to let every offense become another reason for division. Love chooses patience, forgiveness, and grace.

This verse challenges us to consider what we are cultivating in our relationships. We cannot always control how others treat us, but we can decide whether we will feed resentment or extend grace. Love “covers” offenses by refusing to keep score and by seeking reconciliation whenever possible. Today, ask God to help you release an offense you may be holding onto and respond with the same mercy He has shown you.
