Isaiah 6:3 ESV
And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”
Isaiah 6:3 gives us a breathtaking picture of God’s absolute holiness: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” The repetition emphasizes that holiness is not merely something God possesses—it is central to who He is. He is completely pure, righteous, and set apart from everything He has created. Yet His transcendence does not make Him distant; His glory fills the earth, and evidence of His greatness surrounds us every day.
Recognizing God’s holiness should reshape how we see both Him and ourselves. Like Isaiah, the clearer our view of God becomes, the more aware we become of our need for His grace—and the more willing we should be to worship, obey, and surrender to Him. Today, look beyond the distractions of life and intentionally notice God’s glory around you. Let a greater vision of who God is lead to deeper reverence, gratitude, and obedience.
