Acts 4:12 ESV
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Peter boldly declared this truth before the religious leaders just weeks after Jesus’ resurrection. In a world filled with competing beliefs and promises of fulfillment, Acts 4:12 reminds us that salvation is found exclusively in Jesus Christ. Our hope does not rest in good works, religious rituals, personal morality, or human wisdom, but in the finished work of Christ on the cross. His name alone has the power to forgive sin, reconcile us to God, and grant eternal life.
This verse also calls believers to live with confidence and compassion. Confidence, because our faith is anchored in the only Savior who conquered sin and death. Compassion, because if Jesus is the only way of salvation, then sharing the gospel becomes an act of love rather than obligation. May we trust fully in Christ alone and faithfully point others to the only name that saves.
