Daily Verse

Jesus compares the desire for righteousness to the strongest physical needs we experience—hunger and thirst. Just as our bodies cannot thrive without food and water, our souls cannot flourish apart from God. This verse is not speaking about a casual interest in spiritual things, but a deep longing to know God, obey Him, and see His will accomplished in our lives.

The promise is remarkable: those who genuinely seek righteousness will be satisfied. The world offers many substitutes that leave us empty, but God fills the hearts of those who pursue Him. He satisfies us through His presence, His Word, and the transforming work of His Spirit.

Today, consider what you are truly hungering for. The things we pursue most reveal the desires of our hearts. As we seek Christ above all else, He graciously provides the satisfaction and spiritual nourishment that only He can give.
