Psalm 9:7-8 ESV
But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice, and he judges the world with righteousness; he judges the peoples with uprightness.
Psalm 9:7–8 reminds us that while everything around us feels unstable—circumstances shift, people disappoint, injustice seems unchecked—God is not moved. His throne is established forever, and His rule is not reactionary or emotional; it is righteous and just. That means no wrong escapes His notice, and no good goes unseen. Even when justice feels delayed, it is never absent in God’s kingdom.
For us, this is both a comfort and a correction. Comfort, because we don’t have to carry the burden of making everything right—God is the perfect Judge. Correction, because we’re called to align our lives with His standard of righteousness, not our own shifting opinions. So instead of being consumed with frustration over what seems unfair, we can live with steady confidence: God sees, God knows, and God will judge rightly in His time.
