Romans 13:7 ESV
Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
Romans 13:7 calls believers to “pay to all what is owed to them”—taxes, revenue, respect, and honor. At its core, this verse challenges us to live with integrity in every sphere of life, not just the spiritual. It reminds us that honoring authority and fulfilling our responsibilities is part of our witness. Even when it feels inconvenient or undeserved, choosing to give respect and honor reflects a heart that ultimately trusts God as the highest authority.
