Revelation 21:3-4 ESV

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:3–4 offers a powerful glimpse of the future God has promised His people. John describes a time when God will dwell fully with humanity, and the brokenness of this world will finally be undone. The passage promises that God will wipe away every tear and that death, mourning, crying, and pain will be no more. These words remind believers that suffering and loss, though real now, are not the final chapter of God’s story. The presence of God will one day restore everything that sin and death have damaged.

For believers today, this promise brings hope and perspective. When life feels heavy or uncertain, we remember that God is moving history toward a day of complete restoration. Our present trials are temporary, but the future God has prepared is eternal. This hope encourages us to remain faithful, comfort others who are hurting, and live with confidence that God’s ultimate plan is one of redemption and renewal.
