Isaiah 6:8 ESV

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

Before this famous declaration, Isaiah was a man overwhelmed by his own inadequacy. In the preceding verses, he stands in the throne room of God, face-to-face with absolute holiness, and cries out, "Woe is me!" It was only after God purified him—touching his lips with a burning coal—that Isaiah was able to move from paralysis to purpose.

We often wait for a "perfect" moment to serve or a specific "sign" to act. However, Isaiah 6:8 suggests that God is already looking for messengers. The question isn't whether God is speaking, but whether we are tuned into the frequency of His call.

Today, your "mission field" might not be a distant land. It might be a difficult conversation with a coworker, showing patience to a family member, or finally starting that project you feel prompted to begin. Is there an area of my life where I’ve been saying "Wait a minute" instead of "Here I am"?
