Isaiah 54:10 ESV
For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10 reminds us that while everything in this world can shift or fail, God’s covenant love does not. Mountains and hills—symbols of strength and permanence—may be shaken, but the Lord’s steadfast love remains unmovable. This verse speaks comfort to weary hearts: our security is not anchored in circumstances, but in God’s faithful character. Even in seasons of loss, change, or discipline, God’s promise of peace stands firm, assuring us that His mercy will never be taken away.
