Mark 11:22-23 ESV

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”

Jesus calls His followers to a faith that is anchored in God’s power, not limited by human sight. When He speaks of moving mountains, He is not promoting self-confidence or positive thinking, but deep trust in God’s authority and faithfulness. True faith believes that God is able to act, even when circumstances appear immovable.

This passage also challenges the heart. Faith that moves mountains is not mixed with doubt or divided loyalty. It is a settled reliance on God—praying with confidence that He hears and responds according to His will. For believers today, Mark 11:22–23 invites us to bring our biggest obstacles to God, trusting Him fully and surrendering the outcome to His purposes.
