Psalm 19:14 ESV
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14 brings our faith down to the level of daily intention: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord.” It reminds us that God is concerned not only with what we say publicly, but with what we quietly rehearse within. Our speech and our inner thoughts flow from the same source, and both matter to Him.
This verse invites believers to live with God as the primary audience. When we submit our words and thoughts to the Lord—our rock and redeemer—we acknowledge our dependence on His strength and grace to shape us. It’s a prayer for integrity, asking God to align our inner life with our outward expression so that all of life becomes an offering pleasing to Him.
