Psalm 7:9-11 ESV

Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous— you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God! My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.

Psalm 7:9–11 anchors hope in the character of God when evil seems to prevail and the future feels uncertain. The psalmist trusts that God is righteous, discerning the hearts and minds of humanity, and actively upholding the upright. God is not distant or indifferent; He is a just judge and a strong refuge for those who live with integrity. In times of turmoil, believers can rest in the assurance that evil does not have the final word. God’s justice, though sometimes unseen in the moment, is steady and sure—calling us to live courageously, grounded in hope and confident that the righteous God stands with His people.
