Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness;
On this 2nd Sunday of 2026, we look at 1 Chronicles 16:29. This verse calls God’s people to give the Lord the honor that His name deserves. The worship referred to here is more than words or songs; it is a response shaped by reverence, humility, and recognition of God’s holiness. To “ascribe” glory is to acknowledge who God truly is and to order our lives accordingly. As we come before Him, this verse invites us to lay aside distractions and self-focus and approach the Lord with hearts that both honor His majesty and delight in His presence.
