Psalm 3:3-4 ESV
But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
Psalm 3:3–4 (ESV) reminds us that as the new year unfolds, our confidence does not come from stable circumstances but from a faithful God. When the days feel uncertain or opposition feels close, the Lord remains our shield, our glory, and the One who lifts our heads when discouragement presses down.
On this, the seventh day of the new year, we are invited to begin each day by calling out to the Lord, trusting that He hears us and responds according to His holy purpose. Even before answers are visible, we rest in the assurance that God is attentive, present, and actively sustaining us as we move forward in faith.
