Galatians 4:4-5 ESV
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
In these verses, Paul reminds us that Jesus’ coming was not accidental or late—it was perfectly timed according to God’s sovereign plan. Christ entered our world fully human and fully submitted to God’s law so He could stand in our place. Through His redeeming work, we are not merely forgiven—we are welcomed into God’s family. Advent invites us to rest in this gift of adoption, rejoicing that we belong to the Father because the Son came at just the right time.
